Five years ago when America went into Afghanistan, I put up a flag Christmas Tree in my office as a reminder of our men and women fighting in a foreign land. That Christmas tree still remains there today for all to see. It will remain there until you return home to your family and friends, but most of all to until you return to AMERICA, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Know that you have my gratitude and prayers. I am truly thankful for the sacrifices that you are making and for the bravery that have have shown. You are truly making this AMERICAN very proud.

I'd like to thank all the troops fighting in Iraq. I respect anyone who serves in the military. Freedom is not free. I would like to encourage you because you are putting your lives on the line. You are on the battlefront while we get to sit on our couches in front of the TV. We truly do not realize how lucky we have it in the United States and I'm sure you would be glad to switch places with us. Or at least when you get back, you will probally be want to kiss the ground. Again, I just want to say thank you. I salute you.

This message is long overdue, but THANK YOU to all of you who are serving to fight for our security and way of life. I wish and pray for all of our troops to return home safely to the awaiting arms of their mothers, fathers, children, and families. We should never forget your courage and strength, wishing every day that you come home soon. And to everyone that reads this message, you don't have to support our government's policies, but please support the men and women fighting for you, as well as their families who must endure their absence every day at home.
