I'd like to send a shout out to all the brave men and women of our great country who have taken on such an arduos task of defending our country. I know it must be rough being away from family and friends and it cna' be easy having to look over your shoulders constantly. Thankyou most kindly for your bravery, dedication and hard work. My prayers are wth you all. I am currently in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada but miss living in the States. If anyone is seeking someone to talk to or just would like to receive an uplifting note to get you through the day, please feel free to write.

To the Sons and Daughters of America While you are far away those of us you have left behind stand with you in spirit and great pride. We see the images and hear the stories, we fly the flags and dry our eyes and we think of the job you are doing every day for our freedom our America. We are with you in spirit and proud of you in ways that words simply dont allow. If we could look you in the eye, shake your hand or have a moment to stand beside you maybe then we could begin to show you how we feel. America is proud of her sons and daughters. As in every war past, present and future you may hear or meet those who will detract from the job you do for us. They will call you names and may even welcome you home with terrible acts of disrespect. Dont be discouraged, be proud and stand tall because they are proof that freedom, your mission is alive and at work in America. You are the protectors of their free speech and the very breath they may use to protest you. Always remember this is your America, a place, because of you and your service that allows such actions in the form of freedom. Always remember because of you tanks will never roll them over to render them silent, Always remember because of you they will never run naked in the streets from an approaching army. Always remember because of you they will never be forced to their knees and experience the point blank execution of their dissidence. Most of all always remember it is because of you, thousands before you and thousands who will follow in your tracks that makes this possible only in our America. You are the sons and daughters of freedom and there is no greater honor any American can ever wish to have than to be the heart & soul of the very best of who we are. The freedom you are fighting for is alive and strong in America and awaiting your proud return. Come home soon, come home proud and come home to an America that is better because you are in her service. With deepest respect for every one of you THANK YOU for our America. mike calabrese greatfulinamerica@yahoo.com seneca falls ny USA

I'm very appreciative of ALL the men & women that serve in our Armed Forces. I was once told that the hardest part of being in the military is being away from your family. As many can relate, my husband is also statioined overseas. My prayers are for all of the soldiers and their families. Take care out there. We all love and miss you guys!!!

Please don't get discouraged. We haven't forgotten. Not all of us fall for the BS they put on the news! They just don't get it, how important it is what you are all doing each and every day for us. I appreciate it and thank you all every day. You are loved by many you don't even know. I will not take for granted the freedoms that I am given every day and that is all because of every single soldier that has fought for our liberties past and present. You are fighting for us and you need to know that there are people here that are fighting for you! Bless each and every one of you. I am proud.

If you do foster care please have them adopt a soilder. This helps them along with the soilder and they can have a friend that is also away from thier family. And they may find one that has been in the same place as them. We are helping two people. One a soilder and one a child. This person can be thier friend for a life time and thier parents would more than likely let them stay friends. Alot faster than a foster parent. Please be a lovely person and let them enjoy sending a letter to a solider that all they need is a hello and maybe some pictures that are of them or pictures that they made. Mine will be sending things also to these solilder I have 5 children that will be doing this

I want the troops to know that I support them! I also would like them to know that I am totally against the Hollywood loud mouths who continually put you guys down. Shame on them for crapping on the very blanket of protection that our soldiers provide. God bless you all.

I wrote this poem to show all the love I have for my husband and all other US soldiers "A slodiers Love" A soldiers love comes more than others it comes from our "husbands" our fathers and brothers A soldiers love comes right from the heart when your standing close by or when so far apart A soldiers love spreads across our nation in America in Iraq to all Gods creations A soldiers love makes me smile everyday even though my soldier is miles away A soldiers love gives us faith for a brighter tommorow and a better TODAY Most of all A SOLDIERS LOVE never fades some of them have already gone to a better place for the ones who are left my heart goes out to you especially to my husband, Gerald I love you Dedicated to my soldier, my husband, my best friend " Gerald Meidl"
