Hello, any and all! My name is Kelly. I'm a journalism student working on a story about how we support our troops overseas. More specifically, how we can support our troops regardless of our position on the war. I'm a former Navy E-5, so I know what it's like to be deployed and not know what to expect when I get there. I would like to hear from one - two - several...of you over there. Let me know what you feel. Say hi. Tell me how you're doing. How's your family feel about your being over there. Please, include your name, rank and where you're at. As for my part, I wish each and every one of you the greatest fortune. I hope for your well-being and your eventual return home (sooner than later!). Get'er done and come home, people. Thanks, Kelly Read Copy Editor The Clipper

My name is Vanessa and I'm a 24yrs old flight attendant. I see many of our soldiers every day on my flights or at the airport. Many of the soldiers I talk with are scared, not knowing if they are coming back home or not. Each and every soldier touches my heart. I can send a care package, but feel that it's not enough. I want to get more people involved with sending care packages. I would love to set up a ''drive'' at every store, business, location etc. I've already e-mailed my mayor and my company to see if they would help get involved. Anyone have any idea's or help for me? This is my first time every doing something like this, so I really have no idea about how to get this going. I just Really REally want to do this for our soldiers.

I want to Honor all our soldiers.. I put Army, but it means every branch of our military. I love and support yall, Thank you.. SOLDIERS WE HONOR YOU A soldier strong and true We love and honor you You sacrifice to save us all To not let our country fall We stand for what is right We battle through the night Our flag shall wave at dawn We keep our Armour on When you serve your country well Listen close, you’ll hear that Liberty Bell You set the captives free So they will know and see This country has a heart of love joy and peace Your labor is not in vain We shall remember your name You are in our prayers Yes, we truly care Do you know that there are angels watching over you Though you cannot see them, they are real and true No matter where they send you, Do not be afraid When the battle rages, You’ll be strong and brave The U. S. Army will make you strong With discipline and training, you can’t go wrong Obey your leaders that are over you They will lead and guide you safely through But, if you find your self in a hole Where it is dark, lonely and cold Just remember Victory is your goal Be a soldier strong and bold We are thankful, they chose you You are a soldier, faithful and true Many prayers we lift up for you You are the eagle that carries us through ÓCopyright 2007 By Susan R. I don't have much to say to any of the troops anymore. But, I still send these notes, however worthless they might be; to communicate to you that you are not forgotten. That I will take the time to write something so you can cherish in whatever shape or form that I am at least acknowledging your presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially. I don't know if there troops in other areas whom are picking my little ditties. I'm trying my best let troops everywhere know, "You are not forgotten." Have a good day.

Hi from California. I just want you to know how grateful I am for your sacrifice. Thank you for helping to create a safe America. Please know that you are not forgotten or taken for granted. I wish the politicians would stay out of the fight and support you as much as the regular people here in the states. Again Thank you for you your courage and your service for us, for me.

To all of our troops, You make us so proud back home, dont worry about the negative things you may hear or see from the states, just know that the majority of this country is behind you, and many of us are holding you up in prayer daily. My son is serving over there with you all, and this is his second tour in Iraq. Believe me when I say, you are the brave, you are the real hero's and you are the ones that make this country so great! Thank you thank you thank you for you service.
